Regional Property Manager
Location: New York City, NY (with travel to Connecticut and Long Island)
Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000 per year

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of residential and commercial properties across NYC, Connecticut, and Long Island. This role requires travel to properties in these regions and involves management of rent collections, tenant relations, maintenance, and property acquisitions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in property management, excels in team leadership, and is proficient with Yardi software. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for overseeing future property acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Property Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of residential and commercial properties, ensuring they meet all maintenance, safety, and compliance standards. Conduct regular inspections to guarantee that properties are in excellent condition.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all buildings comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including elevators, gas, electric, and water systems. Coordinate inspections and repairs to maintain compliance.
- Tenant Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing concerns promptly. Oversee tenant communications, including notices and updates.
- Rent Collections & Delinquency Management: Oversee rent receivables and ensure timely collections. Address delinquent accounts promptly by implementing appropriate follow-up and resolution strategies, including coordinating with legal teams when necessary to manage evictions or other actions.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage annual property budgets. Monitor expenses and prepare detailed financial reports, including variance analysis, for senior management review.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely, quality service delivery. Oversee capital improvement projects and manage project timelines.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor property management staff, offering training and development. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to ensure team growth and effectiveness.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Manage insurance claims, risk mitigation, and legal issues as needed. Coordinate with legal counsel on tenant disputes or building concerns.
- Future Acquisitions Management: Collaborate with the acquisitions team to assess and manage new property acquisitions. Handle due diligence and post-acquisition property integration into the portfolio.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in residential and commercial property management, focusing on NYC, Connecticut, and Long Island.
- Proficiency with Yardi property management software is a must.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance across different regions.
- Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing multiple properties and projects concurrently.
- Financial management experience, including budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- Ability to solve complex problems and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Willingness to travel regularly to oversee properties across multiple regions.
