We are currently looking for a laborer/carpenter’s apprentice who is interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry. We offer on-the-job training to provide entry-level job skills and work experience necessary to eventually advance to other positions in the construction field.
Requirements of the position include some hands-on experience or technical school training, and your own tools and transportation. Basic knowledge of this position should include:
· Some framing knowledge such as installing walls, floors, blocking, etc.
· Installing interior and exterior finishes
· Math and measuring skills
· Basic use of materials such as wood, brick, and block
· Some basic understanding of drawings and/or specifications
· Power and hand tool safety knowledge
Candidates will learn the responsibilities, skills, and quality and production standards assigned to specific tasks, as well as all of the necessary safety training required by A.P.
