Provide quality support with a high degree of customer satisfaction, technical expertise, and timeliness in a fast-paced dynamic healthcare I.T. infrastructure. Help answer all tier 2 and 3 calls from the IS Department Help Desk and provide primary responsibility for screening, referring and diagnosing internal and external inquiries and work requests. Primarily responsible for all Windows / Unix Server administration, Cisco switch and router administration including network administration, VMware, Citrix, Wireless, and storage systems. Will assist other system administrators in performing troubleshooting in the identification of applicable problems relating to PC’s, applications software, end point communications, core network and infrastructure.
Knowledge & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (preferred).
CompTia Network + or equivalent.
A+ certification or equivalent experience.
CCNA or Cisco IOS knowledge.
Clinical EHR experience (preferred).
VMware certification or experience.
Citrix certification or experience.
Storage Infrastructure Knowledge (SAN, NAS, DAS…etc).
5 + years related experience.
Strong customer service skills…PC troubleshooting & configuration.
Good organization and communications skills. Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information to others.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, MS Server 2003 - 2016, Cisco IOS, VMware, Citrix, wireless networks, LAN’s, active directory, and MS Exchange.
Knowledge of and experience with Unix, Linux, AIX.
Intermediate knowledge of telephone systems and architectures.
Minimum 2-3 years experience in I.T. Systems Administration.
At least 2-3 years experience with hardware & networking.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently.
Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information HIPAA.
Knowledge of storage systems and hardware.
DBA experience and understanding of architectures.
Knowledge of scripting and basic programming.
Cloud infrastructure as a service (AWS or Azure).
Cyber security: log monitoring, SIEM, web filters, email security.
