What We're Looking For

Barge is currently seeking to fill an Architecture internship position in the Facilities business unit for Summer 2020 in Nashville, TN; Knoxville, TN; OR Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will have an interest in architecture design as it relates to overall facility design (commercial, industrial, 3D modeling, etc.)

Responsibilities for this position include:
Assisting in the production of construction documents utilizing AutoCAD, Revit and/or Microstation.
Maintaining project files and data/information.
Assisting the Project Architect with owner’s program and developing project criteria.
Assisting in the research of materials and finishes.
Assist project architect/staff with review of submittals
Perform corrections on construction documents (“red to black”).
Other duties as requested

Education / Experience Requirements

Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from an accredited university
Preference will be given to students that do not require sponsorship
Must be a Junior or Senior if pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours/week
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite
