The Wynright Automation Execution team successfully delivers highly automated Material Handling Systems. These systems take advantage of Daifuku Wynright’s industry leading technologies to meet and often exceed our customers business objectives. Team members will work with systems including multiple types of material handling automation (ASRS, Shuttle, STV, Robotics, Conveyor, AGV, AMR, etc.), Software (WCS, WES, SCADA, OMS, Etc.), Structures, Storage, Selections, and various engineering disciplines. The Automation Execution team seamlessly integrates the work of multiple execution disciplines to achieve outstanding results.
As the Director – Automation Specification and Architecture is responsible for leading the Specification and Architecture discipline. Specification and Architecture team develops project specifications, design requirements, and develops the overall system architecture. The Director builds a team and process that ensures our solutions exceed our client’s expectations and deliver industry leading performance and reliability
Manages a team of Software Consultants, Business Analysts, and System Architects including but not limited to setting department budget, assigning projects to team members, conducting performance reviews, setting department goals, training, mentoring, and coaching department members, and managing direct reports
Develops a strategy and philosophy for specification and documentation that will be used from sales to project execution.
Provides oversite and efficient scheduling of resources that are engaging many projects, at various stages, with and without client participation while maintaining sustainable levels of engagements from the team.
Develops processes and procedures that deliver a consistent look and feel for all specification documents and communications while generating exception results from the teams that utilize the documents.
Develops a customer review and acceptance process that is intuitive and efficient by ensuring that all meetings, documents, and communications are meaningful, integrated, and intentional.
Consistently looks for opportunities to improve the team’s processes and procedures that will improve outcomes, deliver new improved functionalities while reducing costs.
Engages with clients and project teams as needed to address issues and ensure the delivery of team objectives.
Travel for customer meetings, and to provide team oversight as necessary to meet business objectives

Minimum of 10 years of experience testing and or implementing material handling systems
Experience leading a technical team
Experience in the Material Handling Industry/Distribution Centers and warehouse automation
Experience with continuious improvement and process development
Experience communicating with customers and stakeholders
Excellent management skills for directing, coaching, scheduling, and assisting team members
Working knowledge of budgets and accounting principles
