Job Description

Thriving, established independent group practice is seeking a fully licensed doctoral level psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) to join our team on a part- or full-time basis. This position involves completing psychological assessment with children and adults, and there are opportunities for a psychotherapy caseload as well.

The practice offers insurance paneling, office space and materials, testing supplies, administrative support, insurance filing, and a steady stream of referrals, all within a collegial and supportive atmosphere. Employment is on a contract basis and reimbursement is on a percentage split. This is an ideal opportunity for the individual who wants the freedom and diversity of private practice without the hassle of dealing with insurance companies and administrative tasks.

Horizon Psychological Services is located in Huntersville, North Carolina, which is a northern suburb of Charlotte, near Lake Norman. The Lake Norman area is known for its varied opportunities for recreation, its good schools, and its enjoyable atmosphere. It is also close enough to Uptown Charlotte to afford ease of accessibility to the cultural, sports, and entertainment opportunities of a bigger city.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychological assessment and therapy with children and adults. A full, unrestricted license to practice as a licensed psychologist in North Carolina (or the ability to obtain one) and malpractice insurance is required.
