Responsibilities:
Working knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6
Must be able to Develop Preliminary Master Schedule with the input of the Project Team
Be able to incorporate “The Projects Plan” into the Project Schedule
Be able to Develop and Implement The Work Breakdown Structure
Be able to be the Facilitator and Expeditor throughout the Plan and Schedule Development Process
Assist Marketing, Estimating and Operations staffs in development of proposal and bid schedules
Analyze The Results Of Status Input, Review Results with Site Staff and Determine and Agree Upon Any Necessary Schedule Modifications
Update And Verify The CPM As Required By Project Specifications
Create Clear and Timely Reports for Project Executives as well as updating the Corporate Report
Be able to Work with and be Successful with Various Personalities
Be able to Build Relationships with Subcontractors and Owners
Be able to Communicate Concerns Regarding the Schedule to Project Staff
Perform Job Responsibility in Accordance with McCarthy's Core Values

Additional Requirements for Senior Scheduler Position:
Be able to Create a Schedule from a Set of Construction Documents with little / minimal input from Field Staff
Understand how Complicated Systems go together in order to Properly Sequence Detailed Activities and to Creatively Re-sequence a Schedule when Conflicts Arise
Be able to Motivate and Lead teams through Lean Planning Exercises (Pull Scheduling / VICO)
Able to “VE” a schedule to its shortest responsible duration
Be able to analyze acceleration options (multiple shifts, Weekday OT, Weekend OT) to recommend the best cost option and offsetting against risks with different approaches
Schedule in Design/Build or IPD Environments
Ability to create 4-D simulations using the schedule
Can assess the impact of design/construction changes and schedule slippage and communicate clearly the issues
Train Staff on Schedule Techniques and Software
Ability to use Google Sketch Up for simple Model Manipulation / Creation
General Knowledge Of Construction Principles/Processes including the ability to read and Understand Construction Plans
Have a General Understanding of Field Operations (Submittals, RFI's, Pay Apps)
Understanding of Subcontractor Productivity and Limitations
Actively Seeks out Procedures to Improve the Scheduling Department and Deliverables
Able to Schedule and Understand any Project in McCarthy's SoCal Business Units
Have experience with delay claims and time extension requests and familiarity with various types of schedule analysis

Qualifications:
10+ Years of Construction scheduling experience required
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering required
