We are seeking a full-time Software Engineer to help develop efficient scientific modeling and data analysis tools for internal use by fellow staff members. You'll be joining a hardworking team of physicists, engineers, and mathematicians who take new acoustic and electromagnetic sensor systems from theory to reality in support of U.S. defense and homeland security. As a team member you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and documenting scientific software tools in MATLAB, supplemented with JAVA and C , as needed, for computational efficiency and hardware interfacing.

Possess a B.S. or B.A. in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Science, or a related field.
Have two years' relevant experience in formal software development with an object-oriented language (C , JAVA, or equivalent)
Have experience with software version control and documentation
Have experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
Are able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

Possess an M.S. or M.A. in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Science, or a related field
Have experience with SONAR systems and underwater acoustics (or similar experience with airborne acoustics, RADAR systems, electromagnetics, optics, etc.)
Have experience with scientific programming languages (MATLAB, Python, or equivalent)
Have experience with high-performance computing (OpenNP, CUDA, or equivalent)
Possess an active Secret (or higher) security clearance
