What you'll do...
Develops and drives user experience design, vision and strategy in support of company goals and objectives by analyzing future trends and forecasts in related fields; researching and recommending new User Experience design concepts, tools, and applications; supporting product managers to uncover hidden customer needs, competitive threats, and emerging trends through research; working with product managers to develop clear and complete customer-focused storyboards, user flows or other artifacts to support presentations to senior management; ensuring User Experience design professionals use accurate and robust competitive and customer research for major initiatives; and identifying resources needed to execute product roadmap based on demand, priority, and capacity.
Drives continuous improvement by monitoring and reviewing user-centered design best practices and actively integrating relevant learning; identifying and pursuing opportunities for improvement; evaluating business needs and ensuring they are being met; identifying areas of opportunity and providing recommendations on solutions; partnering with the Process and Tools team to provide the systems and tools required to run and scale a global User Experience practice; and driving compliance with User Experience process, standards, and guidelines.
Leads User Experience function by partnering with leadership to define and execute staff planning; communicating criteria for overall portfolio success; monitoring and analyzing benchmarks for efficiency and quality; forecasting and allocating User Experience team resources to meet portfolio demand and global business objectives; and maintaining standards documentation and development plans to train and maintain internal and external compliance with quality and productivity standards.
Manages and drives User Experience product design life cycle on a single portfolio by identifying and evaluating cross-functional implications of all User Experience design decisions; ensuring critical business and customer issues are considered; serving as the subject matter expert on the customer impact of design decisions; reviewing artifacts and specifications required to implement designs to ensure usefulness across cross-functional partners (for example, Engineering, Product Management, Customer Insights); prioritizing recommendations on initiatives and providing them to User Experience leadership; supporting team members as they interact with the product management and development team; and overseeing design testing methods (for example, rapid iteration, testing and evaluation (RITE)) and implementation for new product designs and proof of concept initiatives.
Manages current and potential third-party and design vendor relationships by defining and approving project scope; preparing statements of work (SOW); negotiating contracts, scope, and deliverables; reviewing and approving submitted deliverables; and evaluating performance and addressing any performance issues.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Information Science, Design discipline or related field and 6 years' experience in user experience design or related field OR 10 years' experience in user experience and design field. 2 years' of supervisory experience.
