Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant – Advantage Security, Inc. (Accounts Payable Administrator)

Advantage Security is seeking a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant for a family owned and operated security company based in Aurora, CO. The position is part time or full time (16 – 40 hours/week with flexible days/times Monday through Friday). The hourly compensation is between $15 -$17 depending on experience. Essential duties for a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant:
Process vendor invoices to include sorting, auditing, coding, filing, uploading and issuing payments
Track expenses and process expense reports
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
Perform weekly deposits and reconcile accounts receivable
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues including corresponding with vendors
Performs internal audits of various departments to assist in compliance
Develops or participates in preparation and completion of special projects

Desired skills for an Administrative Bookkeeper:
Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and behaviors conducive to a service/team-oriented environment (e.g., diplomacy, tact, flexibility, positive approach)
Planning skills to be self-directing and to work with a minimum of supervision
Ability to handle high volume, potentially confidential and complex administrative work
Knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures
Attention to detail and accuracy
Information management and problem-solving skills

Basic Minimum Requirements:
21 years of age
High school diploma or GED required - Associates or Bachelors’ degree preferred
1-3 years general accounting experience, as well as administrative
US citizenship or possess the right to work permit
Ability to pass a drug screen test and background check
Ability to fluently speak, read, and write English
Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office
