Clinical Nurse - Main PACU (Night)
We are looking for a Peri-Anesthesia Registered Nurse to join our post-operative recovery team. This nurse will join a dedicated peri-operative team that is responsible for post surgical procedures, acting as a patient liaison through recovery, and cross-training with the pre surgical team. PACU Registered Nurse, Night Position.
Providers of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Oncology patients and families living with cancer in a healing and innovative environment.
Willing to take action and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that maintain high standards of nursing care within the organization.

A communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.
Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
Work reciprocally with other members of the perioperative team.
Implement the nursing process for surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions in an acute 24 hour setting.
Assure completion of required diagnostic and evaluative tests, providing related patient education programs and pre-operative clinical assessments.
Provide level II post anesthesia recovery interventions for patients as assigned.
Act as part of a team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment.
Cross-train if needed into the Pre-Surgical Center.
New York State RN license and BSN
Minimum of 2 years of related clinical experience required
Surgical Oncology experienced preferred
National Certification preferred
12 hour shifts: 9:00 p.m to 9:30 a.m. with a varied work schedule, including weekend rotation required.
