Under supervision of the Technology Support Services Assistant Director and other full time TSS staff, this student position is responsible for providing Tier II and Tier III technical support relating to person computers and peripherals. Also responsible to oversee and coordinate student Computer Technicians in their daily tasks, as well as lead projects assigned by the TSS Assistant Director or other TSS staff.
Ability to support latest Microsoft Windows and Office platforms. Applicant MUST have strong working knowledge of virus removal techniques and anti-virus/spyware utilities. Must also be able to perform hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair. Must also be able to perform Windows operating system installation/configuration and driver installations. Must be a quick learner, and have the ability to pass on knowledge to fellow student employees. Substantial experience with any of the following considered a plus: Linux and related software, Mac OS X and related software, Windows Phone, iOS, Android, Blackberry, etc. Project Management experience is a further bonus.
