Supports the financial performance and delivery of key P&L components for US Sports Marketing. Acts as key business partner to the Sports Marketing organization. Collaborates with Marketing Finance Management in the development of financial plans, targeting, budgeting, forecasting and expense controlling. Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial reporting, and for financial analysis on an ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Ensures integrity and transparency of performance measurements against plans to assure financial and non-financial targets are achieved. Provides financial support for strategic and tactical decisions.
Collaborates with Sports Marketing director(s) and business partners to plan, budget, forecast, and control Sports Marketing budgets
Collaborates with Sports Marketing Senior Director on strategic projects to address business risks and opportunities and to influence the outcome.
Provides action-oriented financial guidance and analysis on business plans, goals, and strategies to support the Sports Marketing Team in effective decision-making and the achievement of targeted profitability and growth
Ensures financial and non-financial managers are provided top notch, timely, and highly accurate reports, information and analysis for their business decisions
Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc analysis utilizing data from multiple internal and external sources
Leads all financial aspects of US Sports Marketing contracts and maintains contracts in AMS database
Contributes to the development of standardized best practice reporting and control methods
Creates and delivers educational materials and training to business partners related to budget and forecast
Collaborates with Finance Manager to ensure that Sports marketing budgets are executed timely and accurately.
Brings creative solutions to minimize business risks and maximize business opportunities.

Demonstrated analytical skills, comfort with Finance and/or Accounting principles

Sporting goods industry and adidas business knowledge preferred
Advanced skills in Excel. Strongly proficient skills in Word, PowerPoint, and SAP (or other ERP software)
University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
Two years experience in business or financial analysis or planning
Industry specific experience preferred
Solid accounting skills and experience preferred
Advanced Excel skills required
Familiarity with SAP and other relevant adidas and industry Finance systems/analytical software preferred
