About the Role
As a Senior Associate, Research and Analysis in our Institutional team , you’ll play a key role in managing a portfolio of International Banking clients across Diversified Industries to carry out the Research & Analysis function.
Research & Analysis is primarily responsible for identifying and effectively managing risks inherent in the client's business model and industry. Research & Analysis is also responsible for identifying and managing risks inherent in the client’s capital and management structure and financial results.
The primary activities of the role include:
Preparation of quality credit papers with proper evaluation of risks and formulation of well-structured risk mitigation strategies
Consistently make sound, high quality credit recommendations, based on thorough financial analysis and deep dive industry research and analysis
Portfolio analysis and monitoring including risk grade review event management
Managing stakeholders across a team including Relationship, Risk and Product Partners

What will your day look like?
As a Research & Analysis Associate, USA, your accountabilities will include:
Assist in achieving revenue growth targets and maximise revenue/RWA for Institutional Clients within the Diversified Industries portfolio.
Attend Bank Meetings and customer meetings together with Relationship Managers to ensure strong understanding of customer business model and industry.
Contribute to the development of strategy and supporting plans for strategic customer growth via new transactions as well as managing deteriorating credits.
Maintain portfolio credit quality and remain within agreed risk appetite, including timely review of customer performance ensuring a strong 1st line of defence.
Consistently makes sound, high quality credit recommendations, based on thorough research and deep dive analysis, and disciplined application of Sector Transaction Guidelines/Risk Appetite Statement and Credit Policies.
Be a solid contributor to NY Corporate team through active participation, co-ordination and collaboration
Deliver quality, concise, relevant and timely credit papers
Maintain a strong partnership with Risk
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Tertiary qualification preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics
Relevant experience in risk analysis across Institutional and Large Corporate customers
Highly motivated, self-directed team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal
Strategic mindset, highly commercial with a proven ability to balance risk/reward priorities.
General knowledge in banking products and loan structures, trade finance and global markets

Compensation Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 plus bonus
This range is determined by the job, location and level of expertise required for this specific role. The final salary offered will consider your capabilities, skills and knowledge.
