Vice President of People Technology and Analytics
Business Unit: Human Resources
Reports To: RWJBarnabas Health EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer
Summary Framework:
Oversees the People Technology and Analytics Center of Excellence, which supports business strategy and objectives by improving employee experience and business performance, while enabling a talent return on investment through consultation with HR and Business leaders to (1) understand talent management needs; (2) develop plans/processes to resolve business and/or organizational solutions; and (3) to construct Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions aligned with those strategies. This Vice President partners with business leaders and the other established HR Centers of Excellence to establish strategic and operational goals, with a focus on how the HCM infrastructure can support, achieve and optimize them. This involves fully harnessing HCM applications to formulate analytics required to support organizational strategies, as well as providing Change Management consultation for all relative initiatives.
The Vice President of People Technology and Analytics brings creativity and innovation to the design and development of programs and initiatives as well as continuously seeks improvement of existing programs, processes and services. Develops and launches new initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders to enable the accomplishment of business objectives; provide oversight of programs pre- and post-launch and recommends consolidation and / or termination of programs, where appropriate. Develops a framework and accompanying processes that enables the business to leverage credible programs to build, retain and promote a viable pipeline of talent to support business growth and productivity. Develops communication and marketing methods to educate and enable employees to best utilize human resources technology opportunities and resources.
Serves as a strategic advisor, functional expert and coach to the management team as it relates to human resources technology. Utilizes data and metrics to develop predictive analytics needed to allow for greater informed decisions by business leaders and HR Centers of Excellence.
Role & Responsibilities

Lead large-scale, strategic human resources technology programs across the RWJBarnabas Health (RWJBH) System.

Responsible for the adoption of project/change management principles through a common framework and methodology.

Provide strategic direction and planning for the broader human resource technology solutions across departments and business stakeholders.

Direct management of project team and provide strategic direction, while remaining hands-on as a functional lead.

Develop, guide, and mentor project team(s).

Influence and advise on adherence to the project and change management frameworks.

Lead department initiatives around user-experience design and innovation.

Use compelling, flexible, and innovative methods to communicate effectively to diverse market and Enterprise stakeholders

Lead collaborative discussions with key ITS team members, HR Subject Matter experts, HR Centers of Excellence and internal HR project teams to design, configure, and implement new human resources technology solutions.

Map and re-engineer business processes for optimization.

Serve as the primary subject matter expert for all human resources technology related solutions.

Provide hands-on technical and functional HCM technology expertise as needed.
- Ensure compliance standards are met and documented through project implementation.

Ensure all external integration points are properly configured and identify key areas of opportunity for business process improvement.

Provide technical insight and guidance to HR on the impact of technology decisions as well as dependencies throughout the HCM systems.

Manage outside HCM vendors, contracts, and renewal / RFP projects related to HCM infrastructure and platforms.

Create an integrated service delivery through leadership of the selection and retention of human resources technology team members. Responsible for creating the environment that produces results through discretionary efforts of the team.
- Plan and direct the operation of the department, including budget compliance.
Requirements

Bachelor s Degree or equivalent in business, computer science, or human resources management. Masters Degree preferred.
- Appropriate and comprehensive experience in organizational change management supporting large-scale process and technology projects.

Proven time management and decision-making stills, with expert analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing timeline effectively.

Proven leadership experience of well performing, action-driven teams.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with and build strong relationship with ITS, Business Units and other divisions outside of Human Resources.
- Experience in full life-cycle ERP implementations and integrations from planning to Go-Live.

Experience in large, complex, fast-paced and dynamic environments managing technology and process change efforts, across various departments and service lines to meet goals and deadlines. Ability to influence and lead with and without authority.

Allocate resources and drive accountability throughout the Human Resources Technology & Analytics Center of Excellence to ensure achievement of results.

Strong planning, communication, and organization skills.

Leadership facilitation experience to drive senior-level alignment for change.

Extensive functional and industry knowledge of and experience with HR Information Systems, including security and reporting tools.

Demonstrated experience in predictive analytics outcomes preferred.
