Description/Job Summary

North Star Imaging, Inc., an ITW company, is the domestic leading manufacturer of turn-key 2D Digital X-ray and 3D X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) systems for the Industrial Nondestructive Testing industry. As well as the largest X-ray and CT contract services in the US. NSI's technology is used by many different markets including Medical Devices, Electronics, Aerospace, Military/Defense, Castings, Plastics, Research and more. We also design and develop the software applications used in our systems and have the widest product portfolio range in the industry today, which keeps us way ahead of our competition. Our worldwide headquarters, is located in the city of Rogers, just outside Minneapolis, Minnesota. This facility has approximately 90 highly skilled employees including application specialists, mechanical, electrical and software engineers, programmers, level 3 instructors and others. The primary function of this role is to be the expert in digital X-ray and CT scanning. Responsibilities include scanning customer supplied samples, preforming demos, implementation of training & testing programs.

Responsibilities/Duties

Candidate has extensive X-ray, CT and NDT experience. Is capable of scanning at a high level for ISG & applications work with a focus on demos.
Has ability to create, administer & manage internal training & testing programs for Level I & Level II for all US sites
Create & deliver multiple cutting edge conference presentations per year
Contribute to & lead code committees
Contribute & actively communicate inside and outside of NSI as an expert in the field.
Develop DR & CT techniques and perform applications in support of NSI system sales.
Generate professional reports based off testing & applications work
Generate & deliver written presentations on technical updates to internal NSI teams & external customers
Train new and existing customers in the use of NSI systems/software and third-party software.
Perform inspection service through NSI's ISG department.
Support NSI sales at exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, etc.
15% travel.
Customer support & trouble shooting calls
Work directly with customers on demonstrations/DR & CT techniques
2-3 technical conference presentations per year
ASNT level III or Engineering degree preferred

Required Experience

Over 5 years of experience is required for this position.
Required Education

Associates Degree is required.
