(Ab Initio) ETL Developer/ ARNG Systems

Performs sustainment of already developed Ab Initio conversions and interfaces. Participates in requirements, development and testing of new Ab Initio programs. Resolves Tier III help desk tickets and issues. Performs business and technical designer functions, including making contributions to business and technical architecture components of the enterprise solution.

This role is responsible for sustaining the Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A) Release 2 production functionality and supporting the deployment of Release 3.

  • Perform analysis of Army National Guard (ARNG) related data. Systems include SIDPERS, ARISS, ATMS, MODS, JPAS, ATRRS, iPERMS, RCAS, AFCOS, DJMS-RC, TAPDB-G, RCMS-G and others.
  • General responsibility in the sustainment of the data integration between multiple external systems and IPPS-A/PeopleSoft, using Ab Initio ETL
  • Develop technical solutions to business challenges and functional requirements
  • Create, update and edit functional and technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements
  • Interpret requirements, perform complex analyses and present options and recommendations to obtain desired results
  • Conduct Unit testing and resolve issues found in testing
Qualifications you will bring:
  • 3+ years of experience with legacy ARNG Human Resources data, systems and processes
  • 3+ years of experience with Ab Initio ETL Platform (plans, graphs, psets, meta-programming capabilities, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience with Ab Initio Express >It, Metadata Hub, Control Center
  • 3+ years of UNIX experience
  • Experience in reading/writing source to target mapping documents
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership
  • Strong analytical skills and can demonstrate strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner and success working with functional stakeholders
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to attain active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or other technically relevant degree
What would be nice to have:
  • Experience with PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.5x and Integration Broker
  • Experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2
  • Experience with Stonebranch scheduling tool
  • Experience as a data modeler and/or data architect
