Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) is a best-in-class global HR service delivery organization of approximately 1,000 people, servicing the entire global population of JPMC, currently totaling over 240,000 employees worldwide in 62 countries. HRSD provides vital services in the area of Payroll, HR Call Center (accessHR), Recruiting Operations, Employee On and Off Boarding, Data Management, Benefits Administration and Project Management. HRSD supports the firm in achieving its strategic priorities.
The HR function is implementing Oracle’s cloud-based Human Capital Management (HCM) System and embarking on a multi-year global initiative to simplify, digitize, and integrate our HR services. As part of this initiative, we will be replacing our North America (US & Canada) PeopleSoft Payroll and Timekeeping platforms. We are seeking candidates for a manager role on our North America Payroll team to drive and support this initiative.
Our ideal candidate will 1) have direct experience in implementing and managing Oracle’s HCM payroll, time and tax configuration set up for a large, multi-state and/or multi-national payroll operation and 2) had direct accountability for managing the on-going system configuration needs including release management. Experience implementing other cloud-based platforms such as Workday will also be considered, especially if the legacy platform was PeopleSoft.
Key HCM payroll and timekeeping implementation responsibilities include:
North America payroll, time and tax configuration are completed as needed based on business practices, policies and statutory laws to enable accurate pay calculation.
Overseeing configuration design, testing, data conversion mapping; active participation in business readiness and change management.
Oversee the refinement of the ‘out of the box’ HCM payroll and time workflows through configurations and/or other technical solutions to maximize efficiency and minimize manual process steps
Post implementation, you will also be responsible for maintaining a compliant system configuration, oversee the release management and other business initiatives involving system configuration set up partnering with various internal and external stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities include:
Administration of system change request control process
Participate internal/external stakeholders meeting(s) or workshops to interpret, translate and assess business initiatives, statutory law changes and release updates into functional requirements specifications
Act as the liaison to HR Technologies during development, programming and testing of business initiatives, release updates, etc.
Overseeing and processing system configuration change requests
System configuration related process, audit and governance documentation
Participate in merger and acquisition as well as divestiture activities to ensure all Payroll Operations requirements are satisfied and implementation/divestiture is successful for clients.
Provide subject matter expertise to coordinate research and analysis in case of payroll error events; recommend and implement approved long and short-term solutions for best practices.
Manage and lead the HCM Business Analysts within Payroll including training, coaching and motivating team members. Ensure payroll team members have the requisite skills, knowledge and abilities to deliver effectively.
Foster productive strategic partnerships across the HCM Program Management team, internal counterparts in workforce technology, finance, compensation, benefits, HRIS, legal, and corporate tax as well as with our Oracle and our strategic integrator contacts.
Demonstrated knowledge of and Oracle HCM and/or other cloud payroll and timekeeping systems experience
Direct experience in transitioning from PeopleSoft to Oracle HCM; prior experience in designing and delivering an integration between the two platforms a plus
You must have 5+ years recent experience of Payroll including PeopleSoft query, SQL and SQR
Knowledge of process management; experience in process re-engineering is a plus
Experienced in identifying and mitigating operational risk through effective controls
Problem solver and possess project management skills and systems experience to effectively bring change by incorporating system enhancements and development of new processes.
Ability to quickly absorb product/system knowledge, process information and apply appropriately to meet organizational needs
Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship and consensus building skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization; effectively gains agreement and consensus for ideas
Experience with building test plan, test cases, testing execution and documentation.
Team player and able to manage and motivate staff both domestically and in global remote locations

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting
