## Job Overview
US Roller Cup is seeking a veteran referee that has experience reffing professional hockey for the Head Referee position. Ideally, we would like someone with NHL/AHL/PWHL/IIHF experience for this position, so that we may "borrow" from the reffing cultures that already have the highest levels of professionalism. The Head Referee will be tasked with creating a culture of excellency among officals that work for US Roller Cup and to maintain the highest standard practice possible. The Head Referee will be needed at only a handful of large tournaments each year, mostly taking place on weekends. Hotel and travel will be covered by US Roller Cup. We also cover all concessions and provide meals for our officials during tournaments.
## Responsibilities
- Officiate roller hockey games by enforcing rules and maintaining a fair playing environment
- Set and enforce a standard of professionalism for US Roller Cup officials
- Train, educate, and mentor junior refs (including running clinics and creating training materials)
- Ensure the safety of all players by monitoring game activities
- Resolve conflicts or disputes between players or coaches in a professional manner
- Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and spectators
- Provide guidance and feedback to players when necessary
## Requirements
- Experience reffing professional hockey
- Youth officiating experience
- Strong knowledge of roller hockey rules and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage conflicts effectively
- Willingness to travel to location
- Can skate
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
Work Location: On the road
