Overview
Responsible for the medical care of Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) patients by providing comprehensive out-patient primary care. Under the direction of the CMO, delivers primary care commensurate with training to patients of LSCC. Delivers care appropriate for an out-patient, primary care community health center with multicultural, multilingual patient population.

Responsibilities
Assure provision of routine and urgent OB/Gyn services
Supervise all LSCC OB/Gyn professionals; specific duties include, periodic written performance reviews (at least annually), approving time off requests/leave, managing staff conflicts in accordance to LSCC policies and procedures
Work closely with Site Managers and Practice Administrators to optimize clinical flow and patient care
Develop and implement adherence to clinical protocols, accepted standards of clinical care and LSCC quality initiatives
Provide leadership for achieving programmatic clinical quality objectives
Collaborate with other LSCC medical directors and providers to optimally integrate OB/Gyn care with mental health, dental, and specialty service lines
Work collaboratively with appropriate community partners to enhance and expand OB/Gyn services including, but not limited to TAMU HSC, hospital and hospital clinic partners in the LSCC market
Work closely with CMO and senior management staff to determine direction and strategies for OB/Gyn services
Communicate frequently with CMO and senior management staff the status of current OB/Gyn services and perceived opportunities and challenges
Review and approve all service line related templates and forms that are used in the medical record
Assureshigh quality educational experience for medical students, residents and other individuals in a training role working in LSCC OB/Gyn services
Actively monitor and manage OB/Gyn service productivity
Works with Human Resources and Operations Team to recruit, hire, and train appropriate OB/Gyn provider staff
Establish and implement departmental policies and procedures
Provide resolution to OB/Gyn department complaints made by patients, patient family members, other health care professionals or other LSCC employees
Fulfill established guidelines set in place for provider encounter levels
Achieve and maintain LSCC Core Clinical Competencies
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned by CMO
Annual evaluations of all OB/Gyn providers utilizing LSCC provider evaluation tool
Meet regularly (at least monthly) with OB/Gyn provider staff and CMO to monitor status and report developments
Annually present a list of programmatic objectives to the CMO
Annually prepare clinical quality targets in line with LSCC Clinical Plan, in order to measure LSCC and individual provider performance against that target
Regularly report clinical quality results to the COO - Clinical System to be reported to the LSCC Board Quality Assurance (QA) Committee, per QA Committee requirements

Qualifications
Must meet all the required qualifications and responsibilities of Staff OB/Gyn Physician
Current valid license to practice medicine in the State of Texas
Current DPS and DEA certificates
MD/DO with board certification (ACOG or ACOOG) is required; board certification is required within 3 years of achieving initial eligibility
Current AHA BLS required
