Coordinate the architectural design with other disciplines, such as structural, HVAC, fire protection, electrical, and plumbing

Present architectural design recommendations and proposals to staff and clients
Assist in the preparation of 3D electronic design models and final construction documents for buildings and equipment enclosures

Review and coordinate vendor submittals for conformity with construction documents

Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced architects and architectural designers
Occasional travel is required

Essential skills and experience:
BA or MA in Architecture from an accredited program
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Some experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Working knowledge of building and life safety codes, such as IBC, NFPA 101, NFPA 850, CABO/ANSI A117.1, ADAAG and 29CFR1910 (OSHA)
Working knowledge of materials and details used in industrial building systems, including insulated metal wall and roof systems, built-up and elastomeric roofing systems, metal stud framing systems, CMU walls
Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead architect role
Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others
Valued but not required skills and experience:
Familiarity with AECOsim
