Due to continued growth, our Training Group has a new opportunity for a Instructional Designer in our Chicago, IL office.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
Translate employee learning and development needs into engaging educational courses
Consult with organizational subject matter experts to assess learning needs and design responsive learning and development offerings
Create offerings that incorporate the most appropriate instructional methods and learning approach and then prepare training materials in physical and digital formats as appropriate
Candidates should have experience structuring instructional courses and programs for organizations. The successful candidate will be proficient in both instructor led and asynchronous, computer-based learning solution development.
Typical Activities for this position include:
Conducting skill gap assessments and define learning objectives
Designing and generating detailed learning solutions
Creating engaging instructional content (course content, activities, and quizzes)
Incorporating interactivity and engaging elements to computer-based courses
Organizing physical and digital resources for instructors and trainees
Occasionally providing reference guides or train the trainer material for specific courses
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement by following up with instructors and assessing course feedback
Qualifications:

Essential skills and experience:
Professional experience as an Instructional Designer
Ability to write clear instructional copy
BS degree in Instructional design, Educational Technology or relevant field
Experience with Design Thinking Methodologies
Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline experience preferred
Familiarity with audio editing softwareor podcast development a plus
Experience developing technical course offerings is a plus
Experience with change management a plus
Outstanding customer service focus
