The Rubber Group is looking for a full time Process Engineer with prior Rubber Experiences.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and interfacing frequently with the operations and quality teams, Process Engineer will lead the development of new products, enhancement of existing products and processes and troubleshooting processing problems. The Process Engineered is expected to have a holistic approach to the product realization process and will be responsible for all internal and external operations required to manufacture the product.
This is a hands-on position and will require direct involvement in these processes as well as interfacing with suppliers and customers.
Essential/Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Following all safety requirements, safety policy and company policy, report any observed violation to the superior or hazardous situation to the Safety Committee.
- Optimize material and process performance and ensure material meets all customer requirements and is received in the ideal form for our process.
- Collaborate with tooling vendor to ensure tool will function as expected and the resulting parts meet the customer’s technical requirements.
- Develop all primary and secondary operations including any outside processes to meet customer requirements and safety standards.
- Create clear documentation for all processes and materials. Part master, router, bill of material, outside process instruction and specifications for raw materials should reflect all internal and external requirements.
- Work with customer service and quality during validation to ensure all customer requirements are considered and followed.
- Deliver a reliable and ergonomic process to production. Assist with the transition and training from development to production.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in rubber molding and new product development.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Thoughtful, fair, and even-handed temperament.
- Strong customer focused problem-solving skills and the ability to strategic troubleshoot and optimize complex manufacturing processes.
- Experienced knowledge in product realization
- In-depth knowledge of injection, compression, and transfer molding processes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage tasks and assigned projects independently.
- Knowledge of quality control principles and experience with Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a rubber molding environment, with a minimum of 3 years of rubber molding experience is required
- Proficient with solid modeling.
- Familiar with ERP systems.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
