Primary Role Title: Audio Video Teleconference Technician

Hours of Operation: Full time 8 hours per day during site primary hours, M-F 7:00am - 7:00pm
Provide technical direction and engineering knowledge for audio video and web conferencing services. Possess and apply expertise and function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks and address issues.
Proactively identify and address potential problems and mitigate risk by documenting corrective actions to take or taken and provide industry leading technology solutions (audio, video, collaboration, design, etc.) for client consideration.
Provide technical support for client conference rooms, classrooms, and other meeting space as well as other team members and departments needing assistance with testing and repair of their complex networked VTC equipment, displays, and control systems.
Provide on-site equipment installation, equipment diagnosis and repair for VTC systems. Provide direct assistance and training to end users in the operation of AV systems and set up and monitor video calls as needed.
Test and evaluate patches, upgrades and other changes prior to release and assists with troubleshooting issues. Maintain inventory of VTC endpoints. Reload system software, if required to restore functions or update code changes as required (Must be done with Representative of the ITD team).
Preferred candidates will have experience developing multi-security domain VTC and control systems solutions for classified and unclassified systems, along with specific knowledge of AV related Federal information security accreditation and compliance processes and procedures. Candidates should have CTS or higher AV certification, and/or Crestron or AMX programming certification and have experience completing technical installation of Audio/Visual systems.
Candidates should have the ability to conduct site assessments, recommend and implement cost effective solutions, and assist with the installation, operation and sustainment of all AV and VTC systems. Ability to trouble-shoot complex audio, video, switching and control system problems is required.
Conference room event setup, breakdown and reconfiguration that includes moving chairs, tables, computers, etc. is required.
Experience operating one or more of the following: Cisco Communications/VTC, Cisco Telepresence Management Suite, Cisco Communications products, Tandberg VTC, Adobe Connect, Avaya Communications, and commercial service providers.
Experience operating and troubleshooting VTC systems.
Troubleshoot, maintain and repair terminal equipment (telephone sets, video conference terminals, etc.) and wiring and connections to correct operating that are not within industry standards
Install switching equipment and terminal equipment
Complete assignments without direct supervision
Professional demeanor and good people skills including the ability to interact well with customers, office personnel, field technicians, engineers, sales, vendors, and upper management, etc.
Excellent work ethic, dedication to schedule commitments and strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Education – Bachelors degree. Computer or engineering disciplines are preferred.
Experience – Successful candidates typically have five (5) or more years of relevant experience. Experience with the products in the customer’s installed base is preferred.
Technical Certification – Relevant manufacturer certifications desirable. CTS and/or Certified Crestron Programmer desired. Crestron/CTS Technician Certification or higher, required. ICIA Certified (CTS) (CTS-D preferred).
Security Clearance – Must pass a Public Trust background investigation.
