Job Description Are you experienced in Competitive Intelligence and utilizing all the tools to map activities in the market and provide the business with actionable data? At Sage, we have an exciting new role due to growth! We are looking to hire an experienced Competitive Intelligence Manager.

A competitive intelligence manager gathers, analyzes and distributes intelligence on products, market conditions, competitors and customers for business decision-making. He develops innovative solutions from complex problems, provides actionable recommendations, makes presentations and ensures compliance with relevant regulations.

You are responsible for researching the industry landscape, following up with key competitors and helping sales to win deals by helping them to identify competitive edge and optimal value proposition for customers.

You will provide actionable competitive insights and sales tools to help Sage win against key competitors and grow market share

Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the collection, analysis and reporting of competitive insights, incorporating primary and secondary that generate actionable insights.
  • Use competitor announcements, review sites, financial reports, analyst reports and other published sources to build and communicate a detailed understanding of key competitors’ strategies, offerings, GTM activities, and performance.
  • Manage sales, marketing, product and strategy teams requests for competitive insights.
  • Manage the budget allocation to projects.
  • Provide timely and robust delivery of competitor KPI updates and forecast
  • Support training and delivery of internal assets for sales, partner and marketing enablement
  • Support the sharing of competitive information across teams and regions.
  • Abide by and enforce Competitive Insights legal and ethical guidelines with internal stakeholders and sales teams
  • Delivery of actionable insights on key competitors across products and regions
  • Delivery of competitive tools that enable sales, marketing and product teams
  • Completion of competitive research using secondary and primary data sources
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in marketing, strategic planning or business
  • 6+ years of creating and delivering competitive strategy or product marketing in software, technology or subscriber business
  • Research management and analysis skills: Primary, secondary, quality and quantitative
  • Proven experience in enabling sales and delivering competitive deep insights
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-organizationally, especially with Competitive Intelligence, Sales, Marketing, Partners and Product Management
  • Independently capable of prioritizing and managing multiple business-essential projects to successful completion in a quality and timely manner
  • Consulting, CI, business strategy or product marketing for PaaS, SaaS, accounting software or ERP vendor experience
  • Experience working with multi-domestic companies with a global presence
