Greenville, NC

How will you make an impact?
Perform release testing to support sterile product manufacturing. Job function includes aseptic technique, thorough understanding of the Pharmacopeias, and Regulatory requirement for Product manufacturing and Release testing.

What will you do?
  • Performs Microbiological testing according to USP general chapters: <51>, <61>, <62>, <71> and <85> and following internal procedures and techniques.
  • Generates valid data, document testing procedures and results in appropriate notebooks and database according to cGMP
  • Compares laboratory results with specifications for acceptability and determines if repetition or OOS is required.
  • Maintains equipment and laboratory cleanliness and report any issues to supervisor.
  • Reviews notebooks and method validation reports according to cGMP and internal SOPs
  • Schedules assigned activities to meet target dates for customer needs.
How will you get here?
Education
  • BS - in Biology- preferred. An AA degree with industry experience will be considered.
Experience
  • 0-2 years’ experience in a Pharmaceutical Microbiology laboratory
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Adaptable and Capable of working within a team as well as independently
  • Knowledge and understanding of the scientific approach to microbiological methods development and validation.
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative microbiological Tests.
  • Awareness of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to write standard operating procedures and method validation reports
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to different testing designs
