The mission of NVIDIA’s Silicon Solutions Group is to craft world-class GPU and SoC products for Artificial Intelligence, Gaming, Virtual Reality, Self-Driving Vehicles, Enterprise Servers, Visual Computing, Home Entertainment, and more. Specific responsibilities include product optimization (perf/power/cost/quality/features), hardware requirements specification, silicon bring-up and debug, electrical characterization, firmware, diagnostic, embedded, and driver SW requirements specification, equipment and tools infrastructure development, manufacturing test specification and system implementation, and resolution of silicon-related bring-up and production blocking issues.
As our Director of ‘Hardware Engineering – Silicon Solutions Group’, you will have the opportunity to direct and manage NVIDIA's GPU and SOC productization functions comprising of electrical, functional, thermal, speed/performance and power characterization of all NVIDIA's sophisticated silicon to prove the silicon is worthy of mass production for various market segments NVIDIA participates. You will manage all phases of a product qualification from market definition through production and release
What you’ll be doing:
Directs and leads NVIDIA's GPU and SOC productization functions comprising of electrical, functional, thermal, speed/performance and power characterization of all NVIDIA's complex silicon to prove the silicon is worthy of mass production for various market segments NVIDIA participates.
Drives productization by characterizing the silicon at a component and system level by following test procedures; using automated multi systems farm framework; works with multi-functional engineering teams such as testing, design, and circuit design teams.
Manages all phases of a product from market definition through production and release. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the multi-site teams.
Ownership of final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations' effective achievement of objectives.
Consistent opportunities work on sophisticated issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the silicon architecture and design.
Lead and deploy solutions of corporate development of methods, procedures, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs
Inspire and empower your teams to meet scheduled timelines for key objectives
Consistent opportunities to advocate for your team and business partners
Direct and control silicon productization activities of NVIDIA complex silicon evaluating its electrical, functional, signal Integrity, speed/performance, thermal and power at a system level through several managers within the company

Championing and implementing changes to methods and procedures.
What we need to see:
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
15+ years of proven experience in Silicon bring-up and productization
10+ years as a direct people manager
Skilled in signal Integrity, system level compliance testing and complex system level debugs.
You have excellent communication, leadership, and organization skills

The base salary range is $285,000 - $427,000. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
