Brand Specialist – Content Writer
The Brand Specialist-Content Writer will create and support development of branded content – brand narrative; positioning and messaging; brand marketing content for digital properties, social, brand standards and guidelines, and other types of touch points and media, both traditional and new channels. Collaborates with colleagues within Global Brand and business units to create compelling content to support brand storytelling and extend brand management initiatives.
Research, write, edit and proof brand story and branded content for use across all media, both traditional and digital platforms
Drive the development, deployment and management of brand standards and guidelines, including brand education initiatives
Maintain brand message archive and create tools for organizational use
Content edit, copy edit and review various marketing communications to ensure messaging is compelling, consistent, on brand, on tone, and consistent in writing style, quality and voice
Collaborate with stakeholders to generate product and brand naming and value proposition/statements
Coordinate reviews and approvals with internal and external partners for specific initiatives
Support key initiatives for Brand Management as needed
Serve as a steward of the brand and ensure all communications meet brand standards
Basic Qualifications for consideration:Education:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, writing, marketing, communications or related discipline, or equivalent experience
Minimum 4 years in marketing communications, brand management and/or writing for a creative agency
Preferred Qualifications for consideration:
Experience in product naming a plus
Experience in marketing/branding for the financial and/or technology industries preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a validated ability to articulate brand messaging and the brand voice in all aspects of creative writing
Strong creative, conceptual and critical thinking skills
Equally strong understanding of brand management, brand positioning, and the development of branded content
Expertise in personal interaction to facilitate positive exchanges with internal and external clients and other key constituents
Expert multitasker and project manager with the ability to prioritize and complete numerous deliverables within tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized self-starter who is driven to achieve extraordinary results
Expertise in all major business software applications such as Microsoft Office and SharePoint
Familiarity with Workfront or similar project management software
