General Responsibilities:

Greet Clients and other visitors; Answer telephones; Order supplies; Make bank deposits; Track expenses; Copy, scan or print documents as needed; Serve as liaison to landlord for facilities management; Retrieve and scan and save all mail to database; Maintain paper and electronic files; Monitor and ensure compliance with various Court rules and required pleadings; calendar attorneys and firm activities; Finalize correspondence, pleadings, and other documents; Arrange for and track service of process; File pleadings with courts; Enter time for attorneys into Orion law firm management system; and Interact regularly via verbal and written correspondence with government and court officials, clients, attorneys, and others.

Beverage Alcohol Licensing Responsibilities:

Obtain information needed for alcohol license applications and/or renewals; Identify and monitor licensing schedules, including the application process, inspections and final issuance; Complete initial draft of alcohol license applications and work with city, county & state licensing authorities in connection with such applications and secondary licenses needed; Coordinate inspections and issuance of initial licenses with clients and licensing agency; follow up to ensure issuance of permanent licenses; and Work with clients on ownership changes.

Experience and Skill Requirements:

Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite Products, in particular Word, and Excel; proficiency with Adobe X and/or Nuance (particularly filling and editing PDF forms);

Excellent interaction skills with others whether clients, potential clients, government personnel, attorneys or others.

Dependable, cheerful, and enjoy a team approach and atmosphere.

Excellent technology and computer skills;

Experience using law firm document management systems a plus;

Experience entering time for lawyers is a plus;

Prior litigation experience as legal assistant or paralegal is a plus;

Prior office management experience is a plus.

Prior alcohol regulatory experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
