Our company manages four restaurants, two food halls (soon to be four with 7 more under construction and/or development), and a real estate consulting company specializing in developing Public Markets and Food Halls. We are looking for Market Leasing Associate for a new food hall opening soon.

The ideal Market Leasing Associate candidate will be able to work effectively with minimal oversight while also functioning well in a team environment; able to remain focused while sharing a busy office space; highly organized and enthusiastic as well as creative in his/her approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.

The individual MUST posses the following skills:

  • Organization skills bordering on OCD important.
  • Conduct cold calls to update the database and tour our Markets with prospective food and beverage, retail and restaurant operators
  • Develop contacts in retail brokerage at the local, regional and national levels
  • Build and maintain a strong knowledge base to identify market intelligence
  • Acquire and evaluate the knowledge of local competition
  • Lead/participate in negotiations with potential tenants
  • Collaborate with legal counsel during negotiations
  • Qualify potential tenants and generate solutions to complete negotiations
  • Work closely with contractors regarding project timing and tenant turnover.
  • Interface with architects, property management and construction for space planning and tenant improvement work.
  • Prepare Monthly Lease Activity reports for ownership.
  • Coordinate marketing materials, advertising and public relations, including social media.
  • Create and maintain meaningful partnerships with groups around the city - such as, non-profits, culinary organizations, breweries, arts & music groups youth groups, etc. - and integrate them into our programming.

The following is a HUGE plus, but not required:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in commercial real estate, leasing, or high-level sales
  • Understanding of restaurant and retail trends/operations.
  • Four-year college degree
  • Ability to work long hours, possibly evenings and weekends
