Responsibilities: - Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being - Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walks - Follow specific instructions provided by dog owners regarding their pets' needs and preferences - Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or health issues during walks - Clean up after dogs and dispose of waste properly - Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with clients and their pets - Provide basic obedience training and reinforcement during walks, if necessary Requirements: - Experience in dog handling or related animal care roles such as kennel attendant, veterinary assistant, veterinary technician, dog trainer, pet groomer, or similar positions - Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently - Knowledge of basic dog behavior and body language - Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and address their concerns or requests - Physical fitness to handle the demands of walking multiple dogs and performing heavy lifting if required - Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes or designated walking areas - Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and requirements for the position of Dog Walker.
