This executive level financial position is accountable for managing the financials and positioning the organization for growth. This position directly oversees financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, pricing controls and analysis. The position partners with functional leaders to drive revenue and expense management initiatives; collaborates on product pricing and risk management decisions; prepares quarterly financial operating presentations and leads finance in support of multiple product lines. This position is responsible for the leadership and performance of the United Retiree Services (URS) Financial organization, partnering with the broader Financial organization to support URS.

The position provides subject matter expertise in areas financial performance, forecasting, risk identification, pricing and industry and market trends.

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall financial management of URS. Establish and execute processes that report current financial performance and forecasts anticipated financial results. Collaborate with leadership to ensure established financial targets are achieved
Drives strategic decision making through an in depth understanding of industry trends, market dynamics and internal key indicators. Drives operational improvement, business risk management, and business development ideas across functional areas
Lead financial analysis and reporting in support of managing the business
Proactively monitors trends to identify risks and opportunities across key revenue and expense categories
Responsible for periodic trend forecasts, pricing trends, explanation of medical cost results and variances
Works with Business Unit leaders to create understanding of key financial metrics and how to track and forecast for desired results
Manages a team that supports the priorities and performance of the URS business
Be the financial subject matter expert for URS and help develop and implement strategic business decision for profitable growth

Required Qualifications:
BA / BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field
10+ years of relevant financial and operational experience
6+ years of management experience
5+ years of Healthcare Finance experience
Exceptional financial acumen and P&L management skills
Proven experience driving business performance in a high growth environment
Ability to anticipate accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and operational issues, assess their implications, determine their impact and develop and implement an appropriate action plan
Able to highlight issues/problems and convey complex thoughts in a clear, concise and timely manner both in written and oral form
Must be able to strongly partner with the business yet be able to stand their ground and ask difficult questions and challenge business decisions as necessary to ensure that operating and financial performances are being met
Must be able to identify financial and operating issues and partner with the business to find solutions to those issues
Creativity, with experience implementing critical activities in ways that both generate operating improvements and efficiencies
A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality
