Job Description Summary
As a senior member of the GE Investor Relations team, you will serve as a vital bridge between equity markets and GE, building strong relationships with institutional investors and analysts. The purpose of this role includes driving key internal and external operational processes for the Investor Relations team; developing, packaging and communicating fact-based, analytical content to support investors and GE leadership; and overseeing standard work and retail investor communications.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Cover institutional investors, sell side analysts and their teams. Prep and field inbound and outbound inquiries, including independent and joint calls with IR team. Execute ad hoc investor and leadership requests. Develop relationships and coordinate cross functionally across GE (corporate and business communications, FP&A, controllership, legal, tax, etc.) to help respond to investor inquiries.
Ownership of select investor events – including all docs/process (triangle, slides, talking points, HIRI, speaker prep etc.) + conference logistics and A/V requirements
Summarize investor/analyst sentiment and GE stock performance for senior leadership and the Board + support GE IR leader in preparation for events (slides, backup data, draft talking points)
Oversee elements of GE hosted quarterly earnings and other investor events
For earnings, ownership of 1-2 businesses (e.g., Renewables, Corporate) including pre-earnings Q/HIRI on the rise, IR narrative, script, slide content, HIRI press release and 10-Q reviews and ongoing edits, continuous support; total company HIRI (author, synthesize, format, polishing, elevating, feedback loop), friends and family, earnings newsletter, input to triangle/pr, posting documents to website, media support morning of earnings, investor/sell side calls pm
Prepare senior leaders for investor interactions including drafting answers to top questions - ownership of Hot Investor Relations Issues (HIRI) – including new adds; prep for investor meetings/events; On the rise, Continuous improvement (e.g., VSM actions)
Track shareholder trends and identify top investors for team to target.
As FMP manager – oversee standard work (consensus, sell-side summaries, weekly shareholder reports, targeting, 13-F, peers & competitors, transcript redlines), Onboarding, daily check-ins, continuous feedback and development
Oversee retail communications and process (ensure timely responses, help answer tough questions, help update standard talking points, joint calls with investors that have detailed financial questions)
Ownership for IR newsletter and website: work closely with Communications, draft investor Q&A, on-going improvement (surveys, new formats, subscriber acquisition etc.), maintain IR website and ensure content remains up to date
Maintain IR master calendar and coordinate scheduling with IR team coordinator
Other items include 3rd party service invoicing, IR round tables, FMP leadership team course work, Finance initiatives, mentoring and coaching across finance/corporate team
Critical Success Factors
1) Critical thinking capability and financial acumen – related education, experience
2) Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and process driven
3) Experience in equity capital markets, including sell-side, buy-side or IR
4) Knowledge of GE businesses or industries

Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant major and minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance with increasing responsibility. Leadership Program graduates will be given experience credit for time within the program.
Prior significant role in Financial Planning and Analysis.
Capital markets experience – either on the sell-side or buy-side
Strong analytical ability, overseeing relevant reporting.
Desired Characteristics
MBA or equivalent advanced degree and/or undergraduate business degree from top-tier business school;
Graduate of Financial Management Program or Audit staff;
Expertise and experience in equity capital markets. Ability to anticipate investor concerns and prepare response in advance;
Demonstrated understanding and experience within GE businesses;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Strong critical thinking capabilities;
Strong financial acumen;
Able to communicate in a one on one setting and small and large group settings, including resilience and agility in confrontational settings;
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills;
