Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will provide essential support to healthcare professionals in a fast-paced medical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, medical administrative support, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and collecting laboratory specimens
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies
- Update and maintain patient medical records using electronic health record systems
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing patient paperwork, and maintaining office organization
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or CNA/PCT is preferred, however willing to train the right candidate.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desired
- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medication administration
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
