LS Gallegos & Associates Inc provides Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Project Management Oversight Consultant (PMOC) Services as a Prime Consultant and is currently looking for a part-time Cost Estimation Manager.

Cost Estimation Manager:

The Cost Estimation Manager provides cost estimation expertise in the oversight of FTA-funded major capital transit projects. The Cost Estimation Manager reviews project sponsors' cost estimate for the project and supporting documentation to ensure that projects are being built safely, on budget, on schedule, within scope, and in conformance with applicable regulations and guidelines. The individual serves as a technical resource and subject matter expert in the area of transit project budgeting and cost estimation.

Requirements:

-Minimum 10 years of cost estimating experience on large capital projects including at least 3 years as Cost Estimating Manager in passenger rail or related transportation modes.

-Must have a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field.

-Must have experience in analysis of engineering systems and project management

-Registration as Certified Cost Consultant {CCC)/Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) is desirable but not required.

-FTA experience is highly desirable

This is a part-time position (approximately 10 hours per week). Telecommuting is okay. $60.00 per hour. Travel to client site may be required approximately 2 times per year.
