CACI is seeking an enthusiastic Java Software Engineer in the Sterling, VA area. Join the CACI team to utilize your skills to be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product, and identify and analyze any issues or problems to come up with an efficient solution for your organization.

What You’ll Get to Do:
Work as a full stack software developer on the exciting SkyTracker project. SkyTracker is a counter-small unmanned aircraft systems (C-sUAS) capability solution comprised of different form factors designed to exploit the radio communication between small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) and their controller.

More About this Role:
Your primary responsibilities will be to write and maintain the code that powers the SkyTracker system. This includes primarily includes coding in Java, JavaScript (AngularJS) and Python. Will also assist with testing the SkyTracker system. Some travel may be required to assist with customer integration and initial software support.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Code and ship new application features with high quality and well-structed code
Java, JavaScript and Python code
Unit Tests
Utilize Linux systems for development and testing
Troubleshoot, debug and fix issues in production and non-production environments

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Education:
Typically requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of job related experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:
Recognized subject matter expert in software development.

Required Skills:
An active TS/SCI with CI Poly
Full Stack Software Developer: Expert in your domain, and comfortable working at all layers: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web services, APIs, SQL & NoSQL storage, Testing, Infrastructure
Familiarity with Red Hat / CentOS Linux operating system
Experience with deploying web applications to Tomcat Application Server
Strong Java coding skills
Experience with JavaScript
Experience with AngularJS
Experience with Python

Experience with Puppet
Linux shell scripting
Experience with Spring
Experience with ActiveMQ
