JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Specialist – Key Accounts and Research Analytics provides strategic, analytical and project management leadership for Sales and Marketing initiatives. Assists in developing actionable business intelligence to develop product and marketing strategies for our key account partners that make up over 30% of the total retail base at the Kentucky Lottery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Anticipates information and insights needs of the Sales and Marketing department and any special requests from KLC Senior Management.
Serves as main point of contact for Key Account Managers and Marketing team, including monthly, quarterly, annual & as needed key account reporting and sales analysis (Out-of-Stock &, YOY projections & analysis) promotional conception and coordination with the Promotions Manager and other key account marketing functions as necessary
Must be comfortable presenting to and working directly with Key Account retail managers to facilitate on-site promotional events on behalf of the Kentucky Lottery
Provides assistance to all KLC team members in sourcing and summarizing information needed to make informed decisions on design, promotion and sale of lottery products.
Assists Research Manager in the executions and reporting of consumer data and information.
Responsible for comprehensive calendar of key account chain promotions and programs and flawless execution of partnership details from concept to completion.
Other Marginal Duties

Performs duties as a third Customer Support Technician, helping out staffing switchboard and email as needed when primary and secondary staff are unavailable.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Incumbent must possess the following combination of knowledge and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related Social Science required.
Three to five years’ experience in marketing or research role a plus.
Experience with query systems and software.
Working knowledge of PC and exceptional skills in Microsoft Office Suite – especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of basic statistics used in business settings.
Experience and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative sampling techniques.
Knowledge or experience in the lottery industry a plus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Office environment
Some travel may be required - minimal overnight
