SUMMARY
The Program Coordinator will support STRIVE’s Reentry Program. We are seeking a creative and entrepreneurial person to help drive our efforts on the day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of a newly acquired, federally funded adult reentry program. The position requires strong organizational skills, an independent work ethic, and an ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with implementing new programs, a strong desire to help people reach their greatest potential, and experience working with formally incarcerated adults from diverse backgrounds. STRIVE’s mission and the ability to work collaboratively in a collegial and dedicated team is also required. Formally incarcerated candidates encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Provide administrative support in the development, implementation, and marketing of program/project function.
Serve as a principal liaison between students, faculty, staff, and other departments, external partners on day-to-day programmatic, operational, and administrative issues.
Facilitate seminars, meetings, special projects and events.
Coordinate activities of support staff, consultants, faculty and volunteers engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives.
Monitor and administer daily program expenses; may develop or participate in the development of funding proposals for the program.
Write, edit, and coordinate development of promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures, as appropriate to the program.
Collect and analyze data; prepare scheduled and special reports; maintain program/project records and statistical information.
Perform or delegate clerical and administrative support tasks, including creation, typing, and editing of program correspondence, purchasing documents, reports, program handbooks, and other publications.
Chair regular case conference meetings with the team.
May perform specialized activities of a programmatic nature in direct support of the accomplishment of program objectives and protocols.
Supervise and train staff, volunteers, and/or interns, as appropriate.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
Experienced in the use of personal computers and related software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and MS Excel for outcome tracking.
Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to lead and train staff and/or students.
Knowledge of budgeting, and cost control procedures.
Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
Advanced writing and editorial skills in writing, editing, and publication of marketing, promotional, and/or educational materials and integrated reports specific to the program.
Overall knowledge of basic individual and group counseling skills a plus.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Bachelor’s degree required
