Cerner Corporation is currently seeking a part time (10 hours/week) Licensed Practical Nurse for our on-site health center for a large, local employer in Lakeland, FL. This health center has a proactive, educative approach where associates are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices.

As the LPN, you will support the providers and nurses with care for patients within the scope of their licensure by assisting in the treatment of acute, chronic and complex disease management and promoting wellness and illness prevention through direct member care as directed by a provider. You will also be responsible for taking member vitals, inputting member symptoms into an electronic medical record, collecting laboratory specimens, administering immunization/shots, scheduling follow-up appointments, referrals and diagnostic testing, assisting with procedures and patient education.

Population Health
Reduce the numbers of patients going to the hospital. Assist individuals to better manage chronic diseases like diabetes. And provide the tools patients and caregivers need to achieve optimal results as part of the team in Population Health Management at Cerner.


Basic Qualifications:
Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse
At least 2 years of work experience in a Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care or Urgent Care health center setting

Preferred Qualifications:
Current Basic and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification
Electronic Medical Record Experience

Ability promote wellness activities
Phlebotomy experience
Patient triage
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, overtime or irregular hours when needed
Must reside in or near the Lakeland, FL area
