DineAmic Hospitality is currently seeking a Payroll Manager with at least 5 years of experience in high-volume payroll processing. The Payroll Manager will work alongside Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, and Accounting team members to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant employee compensation and tax filings. The role requires a high level of integrity, the ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality, and a strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge about payroll laws and regulations, an understanding of payroll tax compliance, HRIS/payroll software experience, and a customer service and problem-solving mindset.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS + RESPONSIBILITIES

Process payroll for salaried and hourly team members, including tipped employees across multiple outlets

Verify the input and reconciliation of all payroll data such as time entries, tips, wage garnishments, commissions, bonuses, and benefit deductions.

Update and maintain bonus accrual calculations and spreadsheets

Process payroll garnishments, verifications of employment, retro pay, manual checks, stop payments, and direct deposit reversals as required

Apply knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax laws to ensure appropriate state and local taxes are processed; Stay up-to-date on state and federal payroll and tax laws

Process correspondence for state unemployment insurance and withholdings

Initiate, review and finalize year end payroll procedures and tax forms

Ensure records and processes comply with company and legal regulations

Provide bi-weekly payroll reports and compute payroll data to create labor reports and statistical analysis for members of the Finance and Operations teams and ownership

Answer, research, and solve payroll discrepancies and inquiries quickly and efficiently

Conduct research and audits on payroll procedures and records to ensure compliance; Make recommendations to improve SOPs and implement changes to improve and streamline processes

Coordinate with HR and Finance & Accounting team to verify employee data and accounts

Supervise payroll team and train new employees

REQUIREMENTS

At least 5 years of experience processing payroll in a high-volume setting (at least 500 employees per week)

Adept at handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Strong analytical skills and ability to problem solve independently

Ability to collaborate with colleagues of all levels and take direction well from supervisors

Proficiency in Excel required

Experience in ADP Workforce Now preferred

Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Knowledge of Federal/State wage and tax related laws such as FLSA, FICA, FUTA, etc.
