Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The administrative assistant provides support for programs within the Department of Educational Studies. The duties include managing the program office, greeting visitors to the office, answering phones, replying to e-mails and working directly with the program coordinator, faculty members, and graduate students.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Bachelor’s degree, or high school diploma and 4 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively with the public, professionals and students by phone, in person, and through electronic correspondence. Excellent word processing skills and familiarity with software used in the College. Willingness to learn new technological skills.
