The University of Louisville's Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) is seeking a social media and digital marketing specialist. The specialist reports to the content and social media manager and is responsible for leveraging digital communications channels to reach both internal and external audiences. The candidate will provide strategic and tactical marketing communications support to: shape and drive unified, strategic messages, branding and visual identity for the university community; provide effective communications and marketing service in support of the university's strategic goals; and implement strategic communications plans in support of key university initiatives including student recruitment and retention, fundraising, community engagement and research enterprise growth. The social media and digital marketing specialist will assist with the development of social media and digital marketing strategies through research, benchmarking and tracking effectiveness of promoted content (both paid and organic); produce social media content, UofLNews online stories and website content; moderate user-generated content and messages; manage, edit and write for UofLToday and UofLNews Weekly Digest eNewsletters; work with OCM team and university departments to develop and manage implementation of a social media content calendar; assist in the development, execution and optimization of paid digital advertising campaigns; and collaborate with other departments to enhance the UofL brand presence.
