As a Business Continuity Specialist Sr. within Enterprise Crisis Management, you are a member of PNC's Business Continuity Management team.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Performing assigned crisis management role
  • Proactively monitoring the environment for potential threats to the organization and communicating with necessary stakeholders
  • Supporting disruptions with a focus on assessing and managing business impacts; performing event impact analysis
  • Coordinating and liaising with business and technology partners, and external agencies, in support of event management and risk mitigation strategies
  • Supporting process improvement initiatives
The ideal candidate will have the following experience
Understanding of complex data models such as multiple many to many relationships – moderate experience
Experience writing basic SQL for reports – moderate experience
Experience creating reports in an enterprise reporting tool such as OBIEE / BI Publisher or Tableau – moderate experience
Understanding how to combine data from various systems to create a unified view – moderate experience
Proficient with MS Excel (expert) and MS Access (moderate)
Archer, ServiceNow or eBRP experience a plus
Basic understanding of Risk Management and business Risk Domains
Crisis Management or Emergency Management a plus
Experience with HTML, CSS, or scripting languages a plus
Experience with ITIL or project management a plus

Job Profile

Develops business continuity and disaster recovery plans; oversees testing, emergency response, and recovery. Provides insight on the selection of operating strategies for the continuation of the business within a recovery time objective.
Leads business recovery, crisis management, emergency management, contingency planning and disaster-preparedness planning. Provides support and expertise during live events.
Conducts, communicates, and maintains business continuity lifecycle planning and business impact analysis. Identifies and quantifies the potential impact of various disruptions and disaster scenarios.
Participates in the preparation of reporting for the LOB committee/executive on the compliance of business continuity processes, readiness, events and exercise results. May partner with audit and government regulators on business continuity issues.
Leads the development and enhancement of information on continuity processes, standards and initiatives. Provides support for the development and delivery of training on business continuity.

Certification Preferred.

Required Education and Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
