Job Knowledge

Have a working knowledge of hotel and catering event sales contracts, service agreements/group resumes, banquet event orders and a general knowledge of hotel/resort operations and procedures. Also, a working knowledge of Delphi, Springer Miller or other sales and catering software and a basic knowledge of audio visual equipment.

Job Summary

Responsible for the booking/contracting of all wedding events including, but not limited to, wedding ceremonies, receptions and rehearsal dinners. Ensure primary function space is blocked according to client's expectations as well as indoor backup space as needed.

Responsible for soliciting and booking new social business with concentration on weddings, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, holiday parties; coordination of event logistics with external and internal clients for all assigned programs/events, menu planning, decor, arrivals/departures, audio visual, banquets and all pertinent event details.

Responsible for the planning and coordination of all event details including, but not limited to, timelines, menus, vendors, day of wedding coordination; creation and distribution of detailed BEOs in a timely manner to all resort operating departments.

Networking in the local community to create and nurture existing and new business relationships.

Physical Abilities

Must be able to move about for several hours at a time. Be able to work under busy conditions and multi-task.


4-year college degree preferred with a major in related field, i.e., Hotel Management, Event Planning, Business or Marketing.


Available to 8 am to 5 pm Monday- Friday, Nights & Weekends required based on Event Schedule.

Training & Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Event Planning Industry with the focus on Wedding. Event coordination in a 4 or 5 Diamond hotel/resort a plus.

Certified Wedding Specialist/Consultant designation through Association of Bridal Consultants or other accredited organization preferred.

Current CMP or CPCE designation preferred.

Experience with meeting room diagram software programs, e.g. Meeting Matrix and/or Delphi Diagrams preferred.

Experience in the utilization of Microsoft Outlook.

Must have valid Florida driver's license.
