Summary: The Digital Copywriter, under the direction of the Digital/Social Media Manager, creates copy for various online marketing tools including websites, social media channels and blogs. Assists with concept/story ideation and collaborates with marketing and communication co-workers and works independently to identify and source content opportunities. Maintains a strong online organizational voice through all platforms and develops/assists with editorial calendar.
Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Journalism or related field.
Experience: Three years of experience with samples of published writing. Must demonstrate strong writing and storytelling ability. Must have the ability to actively seek out stories and interview subject matter experts. Must have familiarity with social media channels and the ability/drive to stay up to date on social trends. Ability to develop and manage an editorial calendar and implement strategies for streamlining team efforts. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Time management and ability to balance multiple projects. Ability to work with a variety of individuals both inside and outside the organization. Understanding of customer service. Critical thinking and strong desire to collaborate and develop engaging content.
