Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (Associates degree, or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or in the process of obtaining.)
  • Demonstrates understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice.
  • Displays positive interpersonal skills, as well as critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a positive reputation and image within the community creating and promoting a positive professional relationship with the Director, Assistant Director, Owner, staff and families.
  • Plan activities to meet the needs of the individual children; activities which are designed to ensure success, based on a positive foundation for growth and development.
  • Plan, supervise and implement programs for children in accordance with Legacy Academy’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide a model classroom environment by incorporating best practices.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled and informal conferences with parents.
  • Participate in regular and ongoing child care training.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.
