Job Overview:
The Identity and Access Management Architect has a Presales component. The Presales Solutions Architect (PSA) is the second highest technical consultative position at Perficient. The PSA is a seasoned consultant with over 10 years of consulting experience leading challenging Microsoft infrastructure or Microsoft 365 based projects. This position requires deep expertise in Microsoft on-premises technologies, Microsoft cloud technologies, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication skills.

The PSA must have expert level understanding of two or more of the following technologies: Identity, access management, security, information protection, application protection, or mobile device management. The PSA must also have significant experience with related Microsoft technologies such as: Microsoft Intune, Azure Application Proxy, Azure AD Premium, Active Directory Federation Services, Azure Active Directory Connect, Microsoft Identity Manager, Azure Information Protection, Azure Advanced Threat Protection, Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection, Multi-use Data Separation, Cloud Application Discovery, Azure AD B2C, Azure Conditional Access, Azure Privileged Identity Management and Modern Authentication.

The PSA is a customer-facing consulting position that requires deep technical expertise, business analysis capabilities, and strong communication skills. This individual is responsible for understanding a customer’s vision and architecting solutions that solve business challenges identified by the customer. The PSA will be leveraged as a subject matter expert in sales engagements and will be expected to lead and mentor other consultants and engineers on project teams. As such, the PSA is required to understand and effectively communicate Perficient’s Enable Methodology to prospects, clients, and other members of the Modern Workplace practice.

The PSA should have 3or more years of experience working with sales professionals, leading customer scoping calls, and leading customer requirements gathering sessions. In addition, the PSA should also have three of more years’ experience producing estimates, statements of work, proposals, rough orders of magnitude, and conducting customer presentations.

The PSA’s time is generally split as such:
Billable project delivery - 50%
Pre-sales support - 40%
Marketing - 5%
Practice development - 5%

Responsibilities
Project Responsibilities
Ensures overall project success when assigned to delivery engagements; prevents project escalation to the Delivery Director.
Assures quality customer engagement success, technical solution(s), project management and deliverables.
Contributes to inception, design, construction and deployment of project workloads.
Collects, analyzes, defines and documents functional, technical, and business requirements.
Understands and can effectively communicate principles of Microsoft infrastructure both internally and to clients/prospects.
Delivers excellent verbal and written communication to colleagues and customers of technical and non-technical nature.
Serves as project and overall technical escalation point to the customer, PM, and technical delivery team.
Presales Responsibilities
Participates in presales engagements as the Pursuit Lead or subject matter expert.
Defines sales pursuit strategy with sales pursuit team.
Owns creation and contribution to sales proposals, ROMs, estimates, and SOW development.
Participates in the review of SOWs or CRs to ensure accuracy.
Understands and facilitates the entire pre-sales life cycle.
Attends the Opportunity Pipeline meeting to provide pursuit status updates and close date information to the Practice and Delivery Directors.
Marketing Responsibilities
Executes director assigned items from the marketing plan, which may include:
Presenting at in-person conferences or events.
Attends Microsoft district kickoff meetings.
Writes public facing white papers.
Contributes to GTM solution sheets.
Creates client success stories.
Writes IAM or Security relevant blogs.
Runs or presents during Perficient led webinars.
Educates Perficient sales force on practice capabilities and marketing materials.
Practice Initiative Responsibilities
Executes director assigned items from the practice initiative plan, which may include:
Drives continuous improvement of intellectual property managed and used within the practice.
Is a member of the practice council.
Owns practice initiative progress and directs initiative team members when necessary.
Meets monthly with the practice council to discuss/present initiative progress and to improve/update/modify the presales lifecycle.
Provides the leadership with suggested presales document improvements.

Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of professional experience with Microsoft Identity, Access Management, Security (IAMS) or Microsoft 365 (M365).
At least 10 project implementations that exploit the full capabilities (discover, design, implement and optimize) of IAMS or M365 – is a MUST.
At least 5 years of experience in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency.
At least 3 years of experience working with sales professionals, leading customer scoping calls, and producing estimates, statements of work, proposals and rough orders of magnitude.
Have a solid understanding of delivery methodology and lead teams in the implementation of the solution according to the design/architecture.
Experience in project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
Fluent and current on architecture trends with an eye on market/technical conditions and future direction.
Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams, and other ancillary project members.
Strong written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
Experience working on multiple concurrent projects.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Be independent and self-driven.
Must be open to travel.

Preferred skills and education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.
MCSE Productivity, MCSE Mobility, MCSE Core Infrastructure
Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight
Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices
Track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes
Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams
