We are seeking a Network Deployment Lead to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for working with deployment teams to deploy both logical and physical aspects of the network in order to complete a successful network deployment
This position is 100% travel with approved travel, meals, and lodging expenses covered.
Qualifications:
This position requires a candidate with a solid understanding of networking principles and strong experience of network deployments in commercial settings. This includes technical knowledge of current networking products and practices as well as industry standards.
-Associate degrees are preferred but not required.
-Minimum of 3 years networking experience including both copper and fiber cabling.
-Ability to pass “Basic Installation” training within first 30 days.
-Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation as well as create technical documentation and write clear daily reports.
-Experience and ability to utilize Microsoft Office products including Vizio.
-Ability to lead others while remaining a physical part of an on-site team.
-Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, knelling and using ladders or lifts.
-Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs.
-Must posses a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Responsibilities:
This position handles a variety of network deployments with teams varying from 1-6 individuals. A successful deployment includes a physical layer that meets all industry standards as well as local code compliance and a logical side that meets the specific brand standards of the current installation site.
The Network Deployment Lead is responsible for working with both site contacts as well as other team members to coordinate project tasks, troubleshoot issues, and achieve project goals with a specific timeframe.
This individual must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to take on additional tasks or responsibilities as things occur and be able to work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
Daily tasks include:
- Utilizing knowledge of low voltage cabling to assist with cable runs, terminations and troubleshooting.
-Complete racking of networking equipment as planned while be able to identify issues and when plans need to be altered.
-Configure various server aspects including VLANS and DHCP.
-Configure switches and wireless controllers according to various brand standards.
-Create final as-built documentation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
