We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Clinical Value Analyst.
In this role, the successful candidate The Sr. Clinical Value Analyst will report directly to the Associate Director - Value Analysis Operations.
This position has overall responsibility to advance the effectiveness of the Value Analysis process by creating a forum where cross functional committees can make informed decisions to improve cost/quality/outcome within the NYU Langone system.
This role will support all NYU Langone campuses and NYU Langone Health Care Systems Hospitals and Clinics.
Provide clinical and strategic expertise that facilitates supply expense management while continuously improving all processes that support patient care, education, and research.
Develop and model positive relationships, effective communication and high quality work products and presentations.
Achieve supply expense management initiatives and targets utilizing the value analysis process.
Participate in the value analysis process to provide high quality, efficient, and cost effective products and services.
Help develop and adherence to a streamlined method for standardizing and monitoring product/service selection, utilization, and costs.
Manage product issues, safety backorders, and recalls.
Oversee the process to ensure smooth transition when implementing a new product into the system, including system, logistic, and end user readiness.
Meet regularly with physicians, nursing leaders, and others to share results and identify opportunities for improved program performance.
Manage intake process, including new items, expiring contracts, quality and utilization initiatives contract calendar showing a view of upcoming expiring contracts.
Create and communicate clear path for projects that need approvals from multiple committees (ie Capital)
Consult and make recommendations to senior management on significant issues.
Exercise independent judgement in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
Build relationships with other health care systems and partner to leverage best practices.
Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:
Experience in cost containment and expense management activities.
Demonstrated analytical experience with a knowledge of financial and accounting concepts.
Demonstrated problem-resolution skills. Understands inter-workings of supply chain activities.
Ability to interact and manage relationships with vendors.
To qualify you must have a Required Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a minimum of 5 years in a clinical/ progressively more responsible role in a diverse and operationally complex health care environment. Current RN License preferred.
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to drive consensus.
Computer competency Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Strong communication skills which will encompass both oral and written including the ability to give presentations to physicians, clinicians, and administrators.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
