The Application Support Specialist will support the Advisor Platform Management Team with the day-to-day operations of the workflow applications leveraged by Waddell and Reed, Inc. advisors for business submission to the Broker Dealer. These tools include Docupace and Pershing and the responsibilities include Tier 3 issue resolution, system configuration, system testing, training and release coordination.
Partner with Application Support Management and other resources to execute the strategic roadmap for the Platform suite of tools.
Manage Tier 2/3 Support, working with both Home Office and field users
Support Forms change management lifecycle through Design, Development and Data Mapping through the release management life cycle within the Platform suite of workflow tools.
Support maintenance for system workflow and release management
Develop business case(s) for change(s) and perform project planning
Collect business requirements
Write functional and technical design
Make configuration and/or code changes
Test functional changes within the system as part of the release process
Implement system changes and enhancements
Facilitate and execute change management tasks
Manage communications, training events, and support documentation specific to the application (not business process related)
Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience Required:
College degree or equivalent
2+ years of Financial Industry experience strongly preferred
2+ years project experience
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of staff and management
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Effective organization, control and follow-up of work
Very detail oriented
Regular and Predictable attendance
